Hello! My name is Sarah Miller, I’m from Phoenix, AZ, and I’m a 20 year old Junior at Knox College. I am majoring in Gender/Women’s studies and minoring in Psychology, and I spend the rest of my time working in the campus library, singing in the Knox College Choir, and acting as new-member educator for Knox’s chapter of Tri-Delta.
I began to conceptualize Be The Change after working for four years in Phoenix for a non-profit called Workshops for Youth and Family, which fostered leadership, communication, and life skills through peer mentoring.
I believe strongly in the power of peer mentoring and collaboration, and I believe even more strongly in the power of youth to change their community for the better. Be The Change hopes to provide the tools for this type of action.
